“It was so exciting just to be competing again. It felt great getting in all my routines. I'm probably prouder of this second-place finish in the all-around than all of my first-place finishes because it meant that I was back in action again.”
“It's something I've never really thought about before. I just took it all in today. It was so emotional. After everything that's happened, I was just coming in hoping to place in the top six and advance. It was so exciting.”
“I felt really strong. This is the first time I wasn't in any pain. Every other day, I've been sore. For the rest of the years, (beam and bars) have been the hardest, but I've been doing them so much now, it's the other two. I got those out of the way first and I knew I was good to go.”
“Certain days, I'd stay for both. High school practice was usually 3 to 5, then club practice was later. We'd have break days where there wouldn't be quite as much. I've just always liked to do both.”
