“We started out well and we were able to get a lead, then we just went away from what we were doing. We had way too many turnovers. When you give the ball up 28 times like we did against Jackson, it's hard to beat any team doing that.”
“We had them (Jackson) down and we just let them back in the game. The kids battled hard, but that second quarter, along with our turnovers, was really the difference in the game.”
“I was happy with our kids' effort. Okemos was able to shoot 36 free throws to our 11 attempts, I felt like we were in Ann Arbor. It's definitely not an excuse, but sometimes it's hard to overcome when the whistles are not going your way.”
“You can't take away the strides that this program has made this season. This is the start to what we hope is the beginning of a strong program. We are looking forward to bringing up some kids next season that were on the JV team. I think the future looks pretty good for Eastern basketball.”
